The vision.

At Coastal Maine Drone Service, we want to help you gain a new perspective from the air. As drones have made their way into mainstream lines of business, more and more applications for the technology have been developed. We want to help you take advantage of this relatively new technology to gain a leg up in your business or provide a unique perspective on any aspect of your life. Anything that would be photographed from the ground can benefit from aerial photography as well!

Coastal Maine Drone Service is fully licensed and insured and adheres to FAA Part 107 regulations at all times. In some cases there will be restrictions on drone operations near airports, but with a little advance notice we have the ability to receive authorization to waive those rules when the mission dictates.

The pilot.

Hi! I’m Adam Cutler. My life pretty much revolves around all things aviation. I started learning to fly airplanes when I was 14 years old and that solidified my interest in aviation forever. Early on, I learned I would not be able to fly for a living and I ended up going to school for civil engineering. My full time “day job” is as a civil engineer working on airport related projects.

I started working with drones through this job using them for construction progress photographs, evaluating obstructions in airport approach zones, and working with my company’s other divisions doing building evaluations. I’ve now been working with drones for 5+ years and I wanted to extend those skills outside my day job.

In 2021, I decided to start my own business and thus Coastal Maine Drone Service was born. We provide drone services for whatever application clients want to use aerial photography for.

In my free time, you can find me flying my airplane, skydiving, or hiking and boating in Downeast Maine.
